Missouri Botanical Garden 1952 Dinner Menu

This is one of two Missouri menus that I’ve identified so far that were exclusively used on the City of St. Louis, the other showing a photo of Kansas City Union Station. Since that train was a joint UP-Wabash operation, the menu does not include the UP logo normally found in the upper left corner of the back cover, nor does it mention either railroad by name on either the inside or outside.

While dinner menus shown in the past few days offered just three entrées with the table d’hôte meals, this one has four: trout, omelet, chicken pie, and ham. Another change is that, where most table d’hôte meals include fruit or soup as an appetizer, this one charges 20 to 50 cents extra for that course.
