Santa Fe September 1968 Fares

Cutting its timetable down to the equivalent of six pages didn’t leave Santa Fe enough room to list fares. The railway made up for it by printing this brochure, which unfolds to the equivalent of four pages.

The fare tables only filled two pages, leaving an entire page for photos and drawings of life aboard Santa Fe streamliners. There are no printer’s marks indicating how many copies were made of this brochure or the timetable, but if they were about the same, leaving fares off the timetable was a false economy because they could have saved paper by adding the two pages of fares to the timetable.
