This booklet was originally published as the May-June, 1954, issue of Wheels, the public-relations magazine of American Car & Foundry. This particular edition is a re-issue of that magazine by Norfolk & Western. It was written by Andrew Hepburn, who also wrote a series of travel guides to California, Florida, Mexico, New England, the Caribbean, and other North American destinations. It notes that Trains magazine’s David P. Morgan also “acted as a special consultant.”
