American Mountains

This brochure, which is clearly marked 1939, appears to be an update from an earlier brochure that I estimated was issued around 1937. The earlier brochure is titled “Through the American Rockies” while this one uses the more generic “American Mountains” name in recognition of the fact that some of the mountains pictured in the brochure are not in the Rockies.

Both brochures have a little text box listing the 28 mountain ranges, from the Wolf Range in Montana to the Olympics in Washington, visible from Northern Pacific trains.
