The Badlands of North Dakota

This 8″-by-11″ brochure unfolds into four panels of mostly full-page or half-page photos. Just one of the eight panels (counting both sides) has a significant amount of text.

This brochure is undated, but we can get a hint from the text page. A 1938 brochure advertised the “air-conditioned, roller-bearing North Coast Limited.” A 1937 brochure advertised air conditioning but not roller bearings. Another brochure doesn’t mention air conditioning, so it is probably from 1934 or earlier.

This particular brochure advertises the “All-Pullman North Coast Limited. According to Wikipedia, the train lost its all-Pullman status in the spring of 1930. That means this brochure is probably from around 1929.
