From San Francisco to Salt Lake City

Rocky Mountain Views covered sights all over Colorado because the Rio Grande had lines extending all over Colorado. But Western Pacific — which was financed by and once owned by the Rio Grande — was basically a single line from Salt Lake to Oakland, so this 1944 booklet focuses on that line.

The color photos have the dot pattern of the four-color printing process, but I suspect they were originally hand-colored black-and-white photos. Although the booklet is 48 pages, there are only about 24 photos as the pages opposite the photos are used for captions.
