Swift, Sure Freight and Passenger Service

In the drawing on this note pad, the freight locomotive on the right is distinguished from the passenger locomotive by the lack of a war bonnet pinstripe around the locomotive’s front porthole. The presence of the oval Santa Fe logo on the freight locomotive, instead of the circular one on yesterday’s FT, dates this from the mid-1950s to the early 1960s.
