The cover illustration and back cover text of this menu tells of the legend of the consecration of Westminster Abbey. When the first church was built on the site in the early 600s, with the support of England’s first Christian king, King Sebert (Wikipedia spells is Sæberht), the spirit of St. Peter supposedly came “to consecrate this church to its great future.” At least, says the menu, the first church on the site was named for St. Peter.

Unlike the previous two menus in this series, which were a la carte menus for lunch or dinner, this is a breakfast a la carte menu. Both offered the same steaks, chops, fish, and omelets, but the breakfast menu has fruit and cereals instead of appetizers and soups, and griddle cakes, French toast, and preserves with bread instead of salads, vegetables, and desserts.
