Second Utah Capitol Menu

Yesterday we saw a Rio Grande menu with Colorado’s capitol building, and previously we saw one with Utah’s capitol. It made sense to have one menu with each capitol, but now I have menu with a different photo of Utah’s capitol. That makes me wonder if there is a second Colorado capitol menu.

Curiously, the description of the capitol on the back of this one, which is dated 1947, is a rather lengthy 350 words long. The other Utah capitol menu, which is dated 1948, has only about 135 words on the back.

This is a dinner menu dated November 20. It offered meals based around trout, of course, for $2 (about $23 today); roast turkey (November 20 was a week before Thanksgiving in 1947); pork chops; Salisbury steak; and sirloin steak for $3.50 (about $40 today). Trout a la carte was $1.25, but the other entrées weren’t on the a la carte side.
