The 1960 calendar previously shown here included four scenes from the eastern United States: the White House, Niagara Falls, Chicago, and New England. This edition substitutes western scenes on those pages: Zion, Yellowstone Falls, the Morman Temple, and a New Years Day Rose Parade in Pasadena (which was on November’s calendar, not January’s, perhaps to remind football fans to make their reservations if they wanted to attend the Rose Bowl).

Union Pacific first put out both eastern and western versions of its calendars in 1960. As near as I can tell, this continued through 1966. The 1967, 1968, and 1970 calendars that I have each have one or two eastern photos, but I haven’t found any examples of western editions of those calendars.
