We’ve previously seen this menu cover on a 1961 menu furnished by Canadian Pacific for a private club. This particular menu, however, was really used on a train, specifically, the Mountaineer in 1954.

The menu has six table d’hôte entrées, including salmon, pot roast, and chicken cutlets, along with a plate dinner centered around a hot roast beef sandwich. The a la carte side has hot or cold salmon along with a dozen other entrées (many of them egg dishes), plus salads, sandwiches, and many side dishes.
