Three More Union Pacific Menus

Here are three more menus, all of which were used on the City of Los Angeles. First is a 1967 dinner menu similar to two of yesterday’s menus in that there is no a la carte section. However, four of the five entrées are different: brook trout, ham, fried chicken, and prime rib. The chef’s salad bowl is off the menu, but it may have been advertised on a different menu.

We’ve previously seen this purple cover on 1970 lunch and 1971 dinner menus for the City of Los Angeles.

Next is a 1969 breakfast menu that was also used on the City of Los Angeles. This offers seven different plate breakfasts and an extensive a la carte section. We’ve previously seen this cover photo on a 1958 City of Portland coffee shop menu and a 1961 City of Portland lunch menu.

Finally, we have a 1971 City of Los Angeles breakfast menu featuring Laguna Beach on the cover. We’ve previously seen this cover on a dinner menu of the same vintage. This one is marked April, 1971, the month that Amtrak took over, and shows that Union Pacific ran a first-class service up to the end.
