Fred Harvey 1967 Beverage Menu

Santa Fe’s long-time affiliation with Fred Harvey was winding down in 1967, mainly because the descendants of the company’s namesake were losing interest in managing its widely flung operations. This beverage card may have been one of the last Fred Harvey menus to be used on a Santa Fe train.

The card offers soft drinks and beer but no hard liquor. That may be because strong drinks weren’t legal in all jurisdictions served by the Santa Fe and for that or some similar reason the hard stuff was advertised on another card. In a few days, we’ll see a Santa Fe beverage menu in the post-Fred Harvey era.
