Great Northern International in 1957

Here’s a 1957 update of the 1951 brochure that we’ve previously seen for Great Northern’s Seattle-Vancouver streamlined trains. The 1951 version was twice as big and had large color illustrations of train interiors while this one has small black-and-white (actually, green-and-white) photos.

The cover illustration indicates that the train itself is relatively unchanged, being still pulled by General Motors E-7s and trailed by a round-tailed observation car. The timetable inside also shows that GN is still running three trains a day in each direction between Seattle and Vancouver.
