This beautiful, 28-page booklet is, unfortunately, undated. The newest locomotives pictured in the booklet date to 1938. A similar booklet, that I’ll post here soon, is dated 1951, and has all color photos, while a shorter brochure is dated 1949 and has nearly all color photos. This one has mostly black-and-white photos, but the quality of printing is high compared with some pre-war rail booklets. So I’m inclined to think this is from 1946 to 1948.

The booklet includes detailed topographic maps with the topo lines in cyan and the Canadian Pacific rail route and labels in magenta. At first I thought this was due to a lack of understanding of how CYMK colors work, but then I realized that only 11 of the 28 pages have four-color photos. CP was saving a few bucks by using only CMK, skipping the yellow print run, on most of the remaining pages of the booklet.
