Olympic National Park Postcard

Is it possible to find a more uninspiring photo of Olympic National Park, an area known for its glacially-carved peaks, giant old-growth trees, and stunning sea coast? Except for one tree on the left whose true size is unknown for the lack of any scale, this postcard manages to avoid all of these.

The postcard says it shows the Bailey Range. Below is another photo of the Bailey Range. How could the NP photographer miss such a spectacular sight? This postcard was issued in the same 1948-1953 time range as yesterday’s, so the problem might be the fault of the colorist as much as the photographer.
