  1. One of the great places in the world. Before Canada’s immigrations laws changed, the Commonwealth provided many immigrants. The Royal Navy had a number of retired officers who settled in Victoria because of the climate and cost. Regular Seamen did as well. We had a retired one on the M.S. Princess Marguerite from Seattle to Victoria in July, 1967 who served us a wonderful lunch. Thanks for this post.
