Monterey Peninsula Breakfast Menu

With a 1935 date, this is the oldest menu I’ve found in this series of Southern Pacific black-and-white photo menus (the newest I have are from 1939). Every menu I’ve found in this series was used for a special tour group instead of an ordinary dining car, which makes me think that this series was only used for tour groups.

Although used for a tour sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, this menu is priced, indicating that meals weren’t included in the tour price. The menu includes five full meals on the table d’hôte side as well as an extensive a la carte side. Multiply prices by 19 to approximate today’s dollars.
