Union Pacific 1975 Calendar

The 1975 calendar had four photos of Union Pacific trains. Two of them show General Electric U50 locomotives. Though barely a decade old, they were in their last years of service. The squat-looking GP-30s shown in the other photos were better representatives of the future of Union Pacific railroading.

The other photos in the calendar are reminiscent of the previous three calendars: a couple of coastal photos, a farm photo or two, and some mountain photos. While Union Pacific photographers had gotten out of the rut of showing the same national park scenes year after year, they were now in a new rut of showing the same kinds of non-national park scenes.
