I have four Union Pacific booklets called Western Wonderlands from the 1920s and 1930s and — with this one — four brochures by that name from the post-war era. UP probably put out a new one in almost every year from 1947 through 1970.

Though separated by seven years, my 1958 booklet looks a lot like this one. UP updated most of the photographs on the non-map side and replaced the unromantic photo of a freight train on the map side of the earlier brochure with a photo of a dude ranch near Grand Teton National Park. The map itself and virtually all of the text appears unchanged.
