Zion Canyon Menu Card

Most Union Pacific menu photos seem to be taken from roadside pullouts, but I believe this is a rare case of a photo that required a hike. The photo is not taken from Angels Landing, which sees this canyon from a slightly different perspective, but perhaps it was taken from somewhere else on the same trail, which means the photographer probably hiked at least 2 miles one way up a steep, narrow trail.

This photo is also found on page 8 of UP’s 1928 tour guide. I believe the colors in the above-linked Angels Landing photo are more realistic than the ones shown on this menu card or in the tour guide.
