But the Arizona Limited was a first-class train in every sense: an extra fare, all-Pullman, all-room train with limited stops.

The above magazine ad for the train was placed by Southern Pacific but shows a Rock Island Diesel. This is probably because the streamlined locomotive looked more modern than the steam locomotives SP used on its portion of the route.
