Canadian National had Dieselized its mainline trains with the introduction of the Super Continental in April, 1954, two months after this publication was issued. While images of that train is shown on the front and back covers, page 2 shows a steam-powered Continental. A page-by-page comparison indicates that, other than the outside and inside covers, all but one of the pages of this edition are nearly identical to the 1952 edition, but that one has no Diesels.
In addition to this one and 1952, we’ve also seen Triangle Route booklets from 1940 and 1948. All were 16 pages, as opposed to the various Jasper booklets, most of which had two or three times as may pages.
