Lower Yellowstone Falls is a spectacular sight, but the photograph on this menu doesn’t do it justice partly because it is black-and-white but also because it was taken in the late afternoon when half the canyon was in the shade. Even black-and-white, it would have looked much better taken earlier in the day, which makes me wonder why well-known photographer Asahel Curtis didn’t do a better job.
