Western Wonderlands 1947

This is one of the first if not the first Union Pacific brochure to feature a Willmarth map on the back. Kenneth and William Willmarth did commercial illustration in Omaha and Union Pacific may have been their most important client. While a map was included in the 1938 Western Wonderlands brochure, the map isn’t signed and uses a different style from the cartoony-version on this brochure that is signed “Willmarth.”
