By 1967, the railroad was down to 6 trains daily, three each way, as the Mail had been cancelled. The departure times of the remaining three trains were approximately the same but the Limited took 5 minutes more, the Lincoln 35 minutes more, and the Midnight Special 22 minutes more than in 1960. A fourth train is listed, but it only went between Chicago and Joliet.

The same trains are on the 1969 timetable, but some of them have actually been speeded up. The Limited takes the same amount of time as in 1967, but the Lincoln takes 15 fewer minutes and the Midnight Special 30 fewer minutes than in 1967.
