Canadian National 1943 Timetable

This edition is packed with timetables, as ads are minimized and most of them are related to the war. At 88 pages, this timetable is very large, and like yesterday’s booklet, that makes the PDF large.

Canadian National’s big announcement in 1943 was the opening of the new Central Station in Montreal, which consolidated the stations CN had inherited from the Canadian Northern and Grand Trunk railways. Construction on the new station began in 1926 but was halted in 1930 due to the Depression. The new station made connections far more convenient for both passengers and the railway.
