While the dinette cars that would use yesterday’s menu were found on only a few trains, CN’s 1956 timetable lists several that had buffet cars, including the Montreal-Halifax Ocean and trains from Montreal to Washington, Montreal to Toronto, Toronto to Niagara Falls, Winnipeg to Duluth, and many others. This menu might have been used on some of those trains.
Though there are many items on this menu, most of them are some combination of eggs and meat. There is also juice, breads, and beverages, but the only other entrée is cereal with cream or milk. While this menu is undated, it is probably from the late 1950s.
